Mindshift a finalist WIICT 2023 awards.

Women in ICT 2023 awards, Auckland

Mindshift’s founder Melonie Cole was over the moon to be named as a finalist in the Women in ICT 2023 awards.

Melonie says “It was a great honour to be a finalist amongst some incredible female founders. The organisations they’ve created are leading the way in tech advancement.”

One of the award application questions asked “how the candidate operates as an independent thinker who is willing to take risks in the face of uncertainty”.

Melonie candidly shares her response to that question here -

Melonie always has the heart and mind of the customer in every decision she makes for Mindshift. Growth has only been as a result of customer acquisition and retention.

Melonie has taken a risk in establishing the business but has backed herself as the business has grown and this has enabled Mindshift to employ great staff who care equally for the excellent work we do and are tremendously proud for our position in the security industry and our contribution to the cyber safety of many New Zealanders.

She is proud to have had the courage and determination in her (fabulous) 50’s to leave a well-paid job to found Mindshift – she wants others to see that no matter your age or stage in life, it’s never too late to give something new a go!

Melonie would love to share her story with anyone considering starting a business, feel free to contact her on melonie@mindshift.kiwi.
