A cyber mindset

We’ve been talking a lot lately to people about how they care about security. Caring is a big deal as it motivates and drives good cyber behaviours. We believe most people actually want to behave in a secure way, but sometimes things stand in the way of that. Understanding why they should care is a biggie. If people perceive the need to be security conscious then they’re more likely to behave in a secure way. Don’t be shy to use real-life stories in awareness communications, it isn’t deliberately introducing the fear factor, it’s simply being honest. We live in a world full of sensitive information, that’s worth a lot to some people and they’ll try anything to get it. Understanding this is a huge motivator in developing a security conscious mindset.
